Issues: Downtown Greenwich

Downtown Greenwich has been a vibrant center of commerce and culture, attracting people from all of Greenwich and beyond to work, shop, or just enjoy a walk.  Greenwich’s central business district, the heart of our community, has undergone profound changes over the past ten years, and its future is not being addressed.

Local businesses crave a plan and came together in 2007 to present their views to Town Hall.  None of their recommendations, including the creation of a comprehensive plan for downtown, was adopted. The Plan of Conservation and Development addresses this area as well and none of  their recommendations have been enacted.  Change will occur regardless.  Lin would ensure that the evolution of our town center is managed with discipline and foresight for the diverse interests that share and enrich our town center.

Lin is eager and qualified to lead the effort to create and enact plans to maintain downtown Greenwich as a town center essential to our lives as Greenwich citizens.
